Sigrid Top
Sigrid Top is a simple summer top in stockinette stitch with a wide boat neck. It has a slight A-line shape in the body and is designed to have some positive ease. Sigrid Top is worked from the top down using 1 strand of either Pure Silk, Cotton Merino or Merino.
You start working the upper part of the back before you pick up stitches for the shoulders and shape the boat neck by casting on new stitches. The armholes are shaped with increases before front and back are joined on the same needle and the body continued in the round. The body is shaped with increases to give it a slight A-line shape and is finished with an i-cord edge. Finally, i-cord edges are worked around both armholes and around the neckline for a neat and durable finish.
